In this limited warranty, the words "we", "our", and "us" mean HomeWorld Furniture; and the words "you" and "your" mean the original purchaser of the furniture covered by this limited warranty.
Warranty Limited to the Original Purchaser
This limited warranty is extended only to the original purchaser of the furniture covered by this limited warranty, and is not transferable. This limited warranty DOES NOT COVER any furniture sold in "AS IS" CONDITION.
Warranty Limited to Normal Household Use
This limited warranty covers only furniture used for normal residential or office purposes. This limited warranty DOES NOT APPLY TO damage arising out of or relating to any accident, misuse, or normal wear and tear, and DOES NOT APPLY TO furniture used for rental, business, commercial, institutional or other non-residential or non-office use.
Specific Exclusion for Damage to Floors
This limited warranty DOES NOT COVER SCRATCHES, DENTS, SNAGS, OR OTHER DAMAGE TO THE WOOD FLOORING, TILE FLOORING, CARPET, OR ANY OTHER TYPE OF FLOORING OR FLOOR COVERING. You are responsible for the protection of your floors from the placement, sliding, or other movement of furniture, with floor protectors designed to protect your flooring and floor coverings.
Specific Duration and Coverage
This is a limited warranty, for the periods stated below, and on all of the conditions set forth herein, that the original mechanisms, wood parts, fabrics, components, finishes, hardware, and sewing of the furniture covered by this limited warranty, are free from defects in material or workmanship. Our liability to you for any such defects is limited to the labor and material required for the repair, or at our option, replacement, of any such defective items. The term of this limited warranty commences on the date of delivery, and ends upon the expiration of the time periods set forth below:
Mechansims and Wood Parts: One (1) Year
All mechanisms, wood frames, and wood frame parts on dining sets, china cabinets, bedroom groups, sofabeds, sofas, chairs, and recliners are warranted against defective material or worksmanship for a period of ONE (1) YEAR.
Fabrics: Thirty (30) Days
Fabric covering material, except leather, is warranted against defectve material or worksmanship for a period of THIRTY (30) DAYS.
Components: One (1) Year Warranty
Springs, zippers, padding, and filling materials are warranted against defective material or worksmanship for a period of ONE (1) YEAR.
Laminate and Veneer Finishes: One (1) Year
Laminated finishes and wood veneer finishes are warranted against defective material or worksmanship for a period of ONE (1) YEAR. This limited warranty DOES NOT COVER SCRATCHES, DENTS, OR OTHER DAMAGE resulting from accident, misuse or normal wear and tear.
Hardware and Sewing: One (1) Year
Hardware and Sewing are warranted against defective material or worksmanship for a period of ONE (1) YEAR.
Chrome and Brass Finishes: Thirty (30) Day Warranty
Chrome finishes and brass finishes are warranted against defective material or worksmanship for a period of THIRTY (30) DAYS. This limited warranty DOES NOT COVER SCRATCHES, DENTS, TARNISHING, OR OTHER DAMAGE resulting from accident, misuse or normal wear and tear.
NO WARRANTY FOR Glass, Mirrors, Leather, and Other Parts
Glass, mirrors, leather, and other parts and items not specifically mentioned in the above sections are NOT WARRANTED, and are specifically excluded from this Limited Warranty.
Procedure For Making Limited Warranty Claims
In order to make any claim under this limited warranty, you must do the following:
Provide Prompt Notice and Proof of Purchase
You must provide written notice of any claim, together with proof of purchase, date of purchase, and date of delivery, to us within the applicable time periods set forth above. Claims may be delivered to: Customer Service, 4360 Mala'ai Street, Honolulu, Hawaii 96818 (telephone number 808-421-3151), or such other address that we have provided to you. If we determine, in our reasonable discretion, that the defect claimed is covered by this limited warranty, we will repair or replace the defective items within a reasonable time as we determine. No furniture covered by this limited warranty will be replaced if we determine, in our reasonable discretion, that it is repairable.
Furniture Shipped at Your Cost
If the furniture is to be repaired, it must be delivered to a place designated by us, either at our Honolulu repair facility or at another location within the state of Hawaii. There may be no repair facilities available on islands other than Oahu. You will be responsible for all costs of transportation and delivery of any defective furniture to the location we designate.
No Other Warranties; Exclusion of Implied Warranties
This limited warranty is expressly in lieu of all other warranties, liabilities, and obligations. There are no warranties which extend beyond the description on the face hereof. Except as specifically set forth herein, we make no warranties, express or implied, with respect to the furniture covered by this limited warranty. ALL OTHER IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, WARRANTIES OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND WARRANTIES ARISING FROM A COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE, ARE SPECIFICALLY EXCLUDED.
Limitation of Remedies
Your sole remedy for any breach of this limited warranty is the repair or replacement of non-comforming goods or parts, as set forth above. We are not responsible for any incidental or consequential damages.
If any provision of this limited warranty or the application of the provisions hereof to any person or circumstance shall, to any extent, be invalid or unenforceable, the remainder of this limited warranty, or the application of such provision to persons or circumstances other than those as to which it is invalid or unenforceable, shall not be affected by such invalidity or unenforceability, and each provision of this limited warranty shall be valid and be enforced to the full extent permitted by law.
HomeWorld Furniture Returns and Refunds
HomeWorld takes great pride in the products we sell and it is important to us that you are happy with your purchase. If you are not satisfied and want to make a return, please follow these guidelines so we can better assist you.
You have 5 days after an in-home delivery or customer pick up to report that an item is damaged, defective or if you are unhappy with it in any way. Simply email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will work with you to repair, replace or pick up the item for a return. Items where a manufacturing defect is discovered after the 5 day return period may be covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, if any; please email us at email@example.com for assistance.
In order to receive the full amount of the refund described in this Return Policy, all item(s) must be: (1) in new/unused condition and (2) returned with all accessories and parts and securely packed in all original packaging (unless the packing was removed as a part of the In-Home Delivery, in which case please re-pack in a manner to prevent damage during return shipping). If you aren’t 100% sure that your purchase will work, we recommend that you retain all original packaging to make it easier for you to return it to us without shipping damage. Finally, (3) items must be accompanied by original purchase receipt. We are unable to accept any items for return or exchange without proof of purchase. Clearance Items and merchandise sold "as is" may not be returned and is not covered by limited warranties.
The returned item(s) are inspected immediately upon receipt. Any appropriate exchanges, credits and refunds will be issued for the purchase price of the returned item(s); taxes are refunded in accordance with applicable state law. With the exception of refunds for damaged or defective merchandise, delivery and handling charges are nonrefundable, and return pickup fees may apply.
- If you paid by credit card, refunds will be made to the credit card used at the time of purchase. Please note that it can take 7-10 days to be reflected on your card.
- If you paid by check, checks must be cleared by your bank before we can give you a refund. This can take about 10 business days. Return checks will result in a $30 penalty.
- If you paid by cash and the refund is more than $25, we will refund your money by check. Please allow us two business days to issue a refund check and a little longer if we're mailing it to you.
